Registration: Noon-6PM

Start Time: 6PM

Entry Fee: $23 (+tax) per player

Prizes: 2 Packs per player will be added to the prize pool and given out to the top finishing teams at the end of the event based on the number of players.

* The number of rounds played will be determined by the number of players entered into the event.

Each Pre Release event will begin with you receiving your kit that will contain 6  Booster Packs as well as a Foil Rare or Mythic stamped with the Pre Release dates. You will then open up all of your booster packs and combine them with your teamates packs to construct two 40 card decks (including basic lands). Two Headed Giant is played slightly different then what you may be used to so here are a few things about Two Headed Giant that differ from normal games.

1. Each team starts at 30 life and share that life total

2. Two Headed Giant matches are best of 1 so there is no sideboard games

3. Each player is allotted one free mulligan per match where you would draw back up to seven cards

4. You do not share anything else besides your life total.

5. Both players on the team take their turn at the same time

6. Cards that say each opponent will happen to both players however cards that say target opponent only happen to one of your opponents. Example: If you have card that says each opponent loses 2 life and you gain life equal to the life lost this way then your opponents would lose a total of 4 life as a team and you would gain 4. If the card says target player loses 2 life and you gain that much life then you would choose one of the players on the opposing team to target and they as a team would lose 2 life and you would gain 2 life.

7. The player seated on the right side of the team is considered the primary head of the team and will decide when to change phases or end the turn.

8. You may communicate with your teammate throughout the game including looking at their hand and discussing plays however you should not touch your teammates cards while doing so.

You will then play a number of rounds using that deck based on the number of participants in your event. At the end of each event prize packs will be awarded. If you have never participated in a Pre Release before we will be more than happy to help you throughout the process and answer any questions you may have.
